A TREASURY OF THE DOG

A big dog book for the appropriately sentimental owners and lovers, in which we meet again such valorous canines as Gulliver, Lassie and Verdun Belle. Terhune, Montaigne, Tarkington, Mark Twain, Ernest Thompson Seton and so on keep company here. While there are some wry inclusions the tone is that of eulogy for the celebrated loyalty and courage of the creatures.
