Taken from the Kojiki, a classical compilation of Japanese legends dealing with origins of man, gods, and the universe, this is the story of a wily rabbit and his attempt to fool a school of sharks. Angered by the rabbits cunning, the sharks relieve the rabbit of his fur. In a state of considerable discomfort he remains until a brave and informed chieftain practises the early art of healing on him and by means of fresh water and cattails, cures him.
