BUCKEY O'NEILL

An exuberant biography of an exuberant figure, Captain William O. O'Neill, who was to become Arizona's favorite son. ""Irish as a brickbat and just as full of fight"", Buckey O'Neill deovted his many energies to many pursuits- but primarily to the advancement of Arizona. A typesetter in Phoenix, a boom camper in Tombstone, a court reporter and editor in Prescott, a probate judge, and a sheriff- O'Neill became really famous with his pursuit and capture of some bank robbers in the Canyon Diablo affair; later led a one man crusade against the railroads, prospected for copper, helped to extend the railroad and put through a water system for Prescott, and ended as a Rough Rider in the Spanish American War, was killed at San Juan Hill. The roaring 80's, and one who matched them, this will appeal to the wide western action adventure market- old and young.
