Perhaps the listing of the sub-heads will indicate the scope of this anthology of material which public speakers, preachers, and editorial writers will doubtless find a goldmine. There are anecdotes of the great and near great; biographical bits, verse, quotations from writings and speeches, from contemporary and classical sources. There is some wholly unfamiliar and very stimulating material here; and a great deal that is obvious to the point of being hackneyed, but none the less useful in such a collection. Among the headings are the following:-Ambition and Achievement, Work, Patriotism and Freedom, Aspiration and Action, Home and Love, Nature, Sorrow and Adversity, the Fatherhood of God, Faith and Serenity, Death and Immortality. Library sale primarily. The editor is well known through his Treasury of the Familiar, etc.
