COUNTER ATTACK IN SPAIN

By

Pub Date: Oct. 29th, 1937
Publisher: Houghton, Mifflin

This for anyone who wants a frankly partisan and propaganda report on the Communist side in Spain. Soapbox speeches on rights and wrongs of it, with rather venomous presentation of the Fascist side. Good picture of the lack of preparedness and organization of the Madrid party, but no mention of how and when they secured the munitions they lacked which enabled them to withstand the push. The shooting of his wife and brother by a firing squad ends the book.
