Mike the Angel, a specialist, is recalled to duty to transport ""Snookums"" to an area where its mechanical brain will not be able to destroy matter. Deaths aboard the craft, Snookums' exposure to religion, attempts on Mike's life, mechanical troubles -- and Snookums' collapse wind up a pre-&-posterous yarn.
