KIRKUS REVIEW

From Acapuloo through the Gulf of California, to the Peninsula of Lower California, this is exploration of the country, its towns, shore line, islands, waters; its history, yarns, past and present, its fishing and fish, its birds, its people, its pearls its local industries, the problems of the Gulf and the effect of the conditions of the Colorado River Delta on Boulder Dam. A part of Mexico little ""touristed"", plus a survey of the wealth of a peninsula of importance to the U. S. Good sidelights and good reading. If his illustrations measure up to his previous work, it should be a beautiful book as well.
