BASIC DRAWING

A well known art teacher, whose experience includes popular classes at N.Y. University, presents his method of work to selfhelping beginners willing to practice. He calls his technique the ""envelope method"" of drawing what you see or visualize as enveloping sections of space -- first the outer and the inner ""envelopes"" are to be set own. The illustrations provided by the author are ample (244 in all) and clear. They expand his short text which provides a grounding in the principles of scientific perspective and the elements of anatomy.
