KIRKUS REVIEW

An exceptionally interesting collection of short stories, scarcely a second rate story in the lot,- human pieces about the peoples that make up the melting pot that is America. There are big names among the contributors, but the main factor is the quality of the stories, that in their totality present Americans in the making. Some of the material is fictional, some autobiographical. There's humor, romance, sentiment, adventure. An excellent cross section of good reading for all ages.
