MEDITATIONS FOR ADVENT TO LENT

Father Daly and Sister Virgene have collaborated again in another excellent book of meditations, this one based on the liturgical cycle from the first week of Advent to the beginning of Lent. As in their recent Meditations for Educators, the characteristics of this volume are practicality and simplicity. The individual meditations, though rather traditional in structure, are strikingly topical both in subject and in treatment. This book may be recommended to everyone, from the most advanced souls to beginners, whether clerical, religious, or lay.
