CLINT LANE IN KOREA

Readers who followed Clint Lane through four years at West Point will be interested in the Korean stint of this stalwart Army career man. Originally sent on a secret mission, Clint is given command of a company and in between duties manages several flights to Japan to exercise his skills on the All Star teams. But the central focus is on little Jim-Joe, a Korean lad, who was determined to make Clint his ""Papa-San"". Although Clint finds a place for the boy in the Freedom School on the border of North and South Korea, Jim-Joe disappears with an unsympathetic uncle. Struggling with red tape, Clint, with the able assistance of friends, manages to legalize the boy's adoption and transport him to San Francisco. There are inside shots of Korea, but none really of authentic human beings.
