A liberal theologist lashes out at current American thinking on world affairs and his angle on communism, based as it is on the thinking of a Churchman, catches our eye with new facets. But he is equally critical of the failure of the democracies to assume their proper responsibility in this changing world, and skillfully points out the many ironies and contradictions in what is presumably "christian" thinking. A brief book, but one of good will and intelligent insight which should help clear the air for an audience which if devout- may also be intolerant.
