KIRKUS REVIEW

Pretty slim story of an old French weaver, renowned for his prowess in archery, who deliberately yields his title, because he does not feel that he deserves it after his daughter's bringing disgrace upon his name. Bazin has a small market (in translation), but this is not Bazin at his best.
