These 30 little talks for young people are very well written and interesting to read aloud. They deal with such virtues as charity, honesty and patriotism, as well as with the more difficult aspects of Catholic life such as sacraments, reverence for the body of Christ and souls in Purgatory. Some of them are told as myths, legends and fairy tales; others are straightforward, in the here-and-now. Each talk concludes with a moral, and with an exhortation to young people to heed it. Those who go in for a different approach, as taught by modern psychology, will not care for this obvious pointing of a moral and command to ""be good,"" however.
