Father Leo J. Trese is the prolific author of books, pamphlets and magazine articles for both religious and laymen including the best sellers, Vessel of Clay and A Man Approved. Now in Sanctified In Truth he addresses himself exclusively to his fellow priests in this book of meditations which he says will be the last he'll write for them. Cautioning that Sanctified In Truth is meant to be read slowly, at most a chapter a day, Father Trese sees the book as a ""percussion cap to trigger the explosive force of one's own thinking"". Aware of the challenge to sanctity and the opposing temptation to mediocrity in the life of a priest, Father Trese asks his fellow priests to reflect with him on ""our common ideals, our goals and our obstacles"". Father Trese stresses a ""scrupulous fidelity to daily spiritual reading"" so that priests might provide mind and heart with the material that will keep them God-centered. Sanctified In Truth suggests itself as the perfect solution for a gift-book for priests -- both young and old.
