PARENT AND CHILD

Primarily for Catholic parents, this examines the parent-child relationship in an effort to instruct parents in the essentials of rearing psychologically healthy children. Emphasizing again that it is love generously given, and plainly manifested which imports emotional stability to a child, the author further maintains that love in childhood is the simple and absolute formula for a successful adulthood. Father Trese also advises parents to stress the power of God's love rather than the fear of His punishment in the course of religious training. This is perhaps the most distinguishing concept in the book.
