TITO'S IMPERIAL COMMUNISM

The politics of Yugoslavia are complex, complicated and provocative of violent opinion. The author, as a representative of our government in Yugoslavia and later as a newspaper correspondent, has a deep understanding of the various groups contesting for control of the country. He clarifies the struggle between Mikhailovitch and Tito, is critical of both but dreads what is happening to the liberty-loving Yugoslavs and fears that Tito is building up a powerful, warlike, Communistic state that may organize the Balkans for war against democratic peoples. Although giving Tito credit for many courageous acts, he feels that he fought not for the Allies but merely to strengthen Communism through terror. Not an encouraging picture of our recent ally and as controversial as its political protagonist.
