KIRKUS REVIEW

A lingering remembering- this riffles the pages of the open book which is the life of Trina Holmsted. Now, at 42, Trina is a very young grandmother and the birth of her daughter's daughter brings it all back; the first marriage to Austin, hilly chilly sort; the coincident and only affair with Ray who ran out on her at the same time that Austin did, leaving her to wonder why; a second marriage and a second child; and now the unexpected meeting with Ray which answers everything... Hearts and flowers, es, but times have changed, so there are birds and bees too with lots of intimate ?women's talk about the eternal feminine concerns. They'll like hearing it.
