This should prove a godsend for parents with small children and imaginations that can't cope with the story fever. For here are wee stories, might-be-true stories, nonsense verse and story verse, gauged to the comprehension and interest span of the pre-school child. Many of them are dialogue stories, into which the child's own name and activities can be fitted. Familiar situations, suggesting other ways of telling stories, and vocabulary tested for the development from two to four. The claim of adaptability to 18-month babies seems to me unconvincing.
