DISCOVERY by Richard E. Byrd

Another book slated for big sales. The publishers have done a good build up job, with posters, dummy books for advance orders, etc. etc. The text measures up favorably to Byrd's earlier book, Little America, with perhaps more of the human equation, more important content scientifically, and a particularly interesting ""story"" in his account of the long period of isolation. Good adventure -- good scientific achievement record -- a made-to-order book for the fireside explorer.
