A smug but breezy overview by three Harvard men. Brown is comfortable and cautious and the most obscure; Columbia offers the advantages of a vibrant city; Cornell, informal and warm, has the most politically active campus, Dartmouth has computers, dogs, boa constrictors in one fraternity, and the most college spirit; Harvard's chaotic and challenging; Penn, while a safety school candidate, offers the most fun--Playboy says so; and concluding with nonpareil Princeton and Yale. In each case, they annotate the virtues of the curriculum and faculty luminaries; the availability of girls; fraternities (generally declining); entertainment, etc. Closing chapters on costs, grades, the pressures (mostly of getting in), admissions, publications and student activism.
