Another experiment with the dream-theme, with a mood enchantment in illustrations and word-rhyme, but without the careful coordination and direct appeal to children of Who Dreams of Cheese? (see report P. 94). Animals and children dream their special dreams — imagined in the stunning moon-lit pinks and blues of Richard Floethe's fine illustrations. Again the author's rhyme is simple, unforced, artless. However, the theme here slides off the pleasant circular track at times with a sophisticated aside —"toward such a world comes first the dream". Comes at this point, we think, a yawn.
