BIRDS' NESTS OF THE WEST: 4 Field Guide by Richard Headstrom

BIRDS' NESTS OF THE WEST: 4 Field Guide

By

Publisher: Ives Washburn

This does for western birds what BIRDS' NESTS, published in September 1949, did or our eastern birds. Again the division simplifies the use of the guide for identification:- where and how the nests are found, whether above ground, of what substance they are built, whether found near human habitation or concealer, and so on. The instructions or the use of the handbook as a field guide are clear and helpful, and the photographs, ross indexing, and descriptive matter regarding specific nests of specific birds make it nvaluable for the nature lover who wants to identify nests after the birds have flown. ere is the same weakness I felt in the earlier book- inadequate information about the ggs, which would have added to the value.
