FROM A PARIS GARRET

A nostalgic book for anyone who knows and loves Paris, particularly anyone who has lived there long enough to visualise the sections Richard Le Gallienne so lovingly describes. Almost one can see through his eyes, wander down the streets, watch the passing scene from quaint restaurants, explore out of the way corners, delve into interesting bits of history and biography and drama and literature and romance. I found it a fascinating book, delightfully written. A new sort of handbook for the wanderer in Paris.
