Dr. Brickner sees the trend of modern Germany an paranoid, in its need to dominate, its persecution complex, its megalomania, its rationalization after the fact. He uses cultural, historical and political evidence to demonstrate these characteristics as part of the German psychology. The cure -- to foster those ""clear"" Germans, free of paranoid tendencies, and to introduce a psychiatric army of occupation to re-educate the nation. A theory which may have validity -- but which seems far-fetched.
