KIRKUS REVIEW

With no shouts of ""Eureka!"" or contrived excitement (aside from the title), the author presents a well organized, simply written, and very readable introduction. The type is large, with key words in bold face. The thorough text (metals, geology, mining, and fabrication) is followed by a set of questions and answers. Altogether, it is probably best suited to school use.
