In any child's language beds are pretty agile objects and kids who sleep in bunks at home will love this chronicle of double-dexterity. Joan and Jackie wake up one morning in their doubledecker and decide to turn it into a theatre. First thing, they are well into a wild west show and the beds have become a stagecoach. Then it's a pirate ship. Then it's a space ship flying to the moon. Rousting rousing adventure here, and even instructions at the end of the book on how to make your own doubledecker. And there are vigorous pink and black drawings by the author which really send that rolling, sea going, set of beds zooming out of this world.
