KIRKUS REVIEW

I loved it, and I think most children will like it. The age appeal is a bit tenuous -- children younger than nine will enjoy it read aloud; children much beyond nine may find it "babyish" until they are old enough to appreciate from a different angle, its humor and originality. Place it with those who like The Wind in the Willows and its kin. A very entertaining story of a lobster whose curiosity led him far afield and into all sorts of adventures. Delightfully illustrated in black and white.
