THE TEEN-AGER'S GUIDE TO BRIDGE

By

Pub Date: Jan. 1st, 1976
Publisher: Dodd, Mead

Beginning at the very beginning--how to tell the suits apart--Ewen gives a demonstration (hands to bid--hands to play) introduction based on Standard American (although mentioning a Modern? . . . and whatever happened to the really modern methods such as Precision?). For the sake of simplicity, he omits almost all artificial conventions except Staymen and Blackwood and restricts the discussion to rubber bridge although duplicate is the real name of the game today (and very different too). You'd do better to take a few home lessons and then start with Goren. . . . Pass.
