This is hot stuff -- controversial, courageous. If at times it seems a bit too pat, too glib, that is all to the good from the sales angle. A survey of England's policy, progressing ""from momentary resistance to Fascist aggression to acquiescence, from acquiescence to passive complicity, from complicity to active and overt support."" He charges political guilt to a whole nation, schooled to reactionary policies for 200 years. He paints an England sold out to fascism, cloaked in complacency and hypocrisy. Not a pleasant picture, and we hope overdrawn. But it is dynamite, for those who want support in anti-British position. There are no very startling revelations. Rather is it a summing up before the world jury, the evidence of guilt.
