HAND IN HAND WE'LL GO

The rhythm, the humor, the tenderness and warmth of ten poems by Robert Burns, listed by the publisher for all ages, seem especially good to introduce younger readers to his work and they are perfectly complemented by the full page woodcut illustrations. Their strength and detail are dramatized by the squares of gray on which they are printed. The dark autumn colors used seem appropriate to the Burns' moods and countryside. A full glossary of the Scottish words is given at the end of the book.
