Flame Higgins, a red-haired siren, is the catalyst in the lives of Don Miller, a buffoon and ""Pants"" Brooks, a young lady who is as intellectual as she is introverted. So eager is Don to win the school temptress that he agrees to join in a plot with ""Pants"" toward their mutual improvement. They will study each other's faults. She will become less serious and he, on the other hand, will assume some of her reticence. The plan works in this lively story reminiscent of Henry Aldrich.
