KIRKUS REVIEW

A fine piece of work. Lively in its text and instructive in its subject, this book emphasizes both the efficiency and the romance of our postal service. The various facets of Mr. Farley's department are examined -- from stamp orders to the routing of the mails -- and even the dead letter office is temporarily revived. Adults might do well to sacrifice half an hour on this valuable little book.
