KIRKUS REVIEW

Entertaining but not absorbing. Amateur sleuthing as a colorful Mexican General and his right hand are murdered in Texas. Sherlocking done by a young writer and his girl, who manages a romance in spite of hectic activity. Solution depends on pack of cigarettes and crowded time schedule.
