JITTER RUN by Robert Germann

JITTER RUN

By

Pub Date: Feb. 9th, 1943
Publisher: Morrow

Broad, bumptious buffoonery in the annals of the irrepressible, reprehensible Jitters; the poker-playing Colonel and his vague Molly; their twins, Eben and Ethan, who are strictly amoral; the oldest son Owen Glendower who cites Shakespeare, and Harewood, who forges, with Jane the only reasonable member of the family. An opportunity for the Jitters scapegrace talents occurs when they take in Paul Stannard, a fugitive from the murder of a gangster, a murder accidentally committed. Jane falls in love with Paul; and Colonel Jitter with the help of Harewood forges a new identity for him, disposes of the old Paul Stannard with the corpse of another, and silences the local Sheriff.
