LET'S GO TO A BASKETBALL GAME

The rudiments of the game are mentally reviewed by bland, blond Eric and Carol, waiting ""in orange seats"" to see their first live basketball though they know about it from TV. After the game begins Hood works in explanations of ""jump ball"" and ""free throw,"" and from then on it's all play-by-play, with Eric and Carol cheering the home team's narrow victory though readers won't care a fig for that anonymous five. The rundown might serve those who go to books for sports briefings (and it will take a bookish type to bother with those appended questions).
