The author has written considerably in sociology, and his background as a sociologist gives a scope and realism view of Christian education not always found in the writings of those versed inclusively in the field. The organization is clear; the style direct and readable. should be a very useful volume for readers interested in taking a fresh look at Church's educational enterprises.
