THE SEER'S HOUSE

A gracious and inspiring devotional book. Part 1 is based on Whittier's hymn -- ""Dear Lord and Father of Mankind"", is alone worth the price of the book, and the other two parts are fully worthy of the first. This great hymn is a universal favorite, with all men and women who have attended Northfield, Silver Bay and any of the other conferences. A series of devotions based on it will have wide appeal. Many clergymen are preparing summer sermons, graduation addresses, conference programs. Show this to them if they come into your shop; send it out on approval if they don't come in. It is a rarely lovely book, written by an Episcopal bishop but not limited in interest.
