A frightening picture, as he presents the cogent reasons for their imperative need of the Near Eas(oil, the cut off of Russian supplies, the breakline against Japanese westward expansion, etc.). There is background of the various types of German infiltration to date. There is a country by country analysis, with history, biographical background etched in, but with the relations to the warring powers the chief purpose. Finally he sums up the situation as we are facing it now, the Axis possible plans, and the keys of allied defense. The importance of this book is now -- will it come too late?
