Wilson's Secretary of State died in 1928, leaving the manuscript unfinished. The original plan included three sections:- Neutrality, War, Peace. The text goes through 1917. A fairer and more balanced picture than the best seller, Road to War, probably because there is no element of pamphleteering. Sure to create a vast amount of comment and interesting discussion, and a certain amount of rancor. Should get lead reviews and prove easy selling to mature men and women to whom the days of the war are still vitally interesting.
