SPHINX: The Story of a Caterpillar

A graphic way to tell a true nature story (though it is hard for a gardener to be enthusiastic about a sphinx caterpillar and his diet of tomato leaves). In pictures and large type text the life cycle is traced, from the eggs hatching out in the summer to the laying of more eggs on the tomato plants the next Spring. The vocabulary will be difficult for beginning readers, but it reads well aloud.
