Any book that can help management solve some of its employee problems of dissatisfaction should be welcome. This analyses causes for poor morale, absenteeism, labor turnover, etc. and makes some excellent suggestions. But unfortunately today, when management will hire regardless of age, mental or physical qualifications, some of these points will be useless until after the war. As the author says, it is a book written for ""top management"", but it should also be of interest to anyone connected with employee relations. There is a psychological -- even psychiatric -- approach that is somewhat novel. Unfortunately management is too busy today looking for help to take too much time to conserve employees. Worth reading, with questionnaires and reports adding practice to theory.
