KIRKUS REVIEW

Easterner Tam Barrie is sent West to protect his bank's investment in Dove Strike, a shady character presumably bringing in a herd of cattle, and now the husband of the girl Tam once loved. She learns before long that her marriage is not valid, and that Strike has an ambitious dream of empire which the malcontent Metis Indians will help him to get. And while the Army moves in- it is Tam who puts an end to a madman's scheme and life... Really raises the dust.
