KIRKUS REVIEW

A brief collection of occasional verse written largely since 1942 by the well-known novelist and poet. The war inspires most of the topics -- Dunkirk, Bataan, etc. The volume is possibly inconsequential; but even in his most casual and off-hand moments, Nathan's verse has a certain pleasant, limpid, lyric, quality.
