KIRKUS REVIEW

If you were a pushover for The Journey of Tapiola you will find these further adventures of Mrs. Boppel's Yorkshire terrier easy selling. We are -- perhaps -- among the minority who find this another bit of whimsy-flimsy with philosophical undertones. Taptula decides to form a regiment to fight the impending evils threatening war (if you hard you'll nose out a fascist). He forms a good and gallant company among Nathan's animal friends. They wait until the enemy comes. And they learn that ""freedom is a thistle, full of pains"" -- but a flower worth fighting for nonetheless.
