SELECTED POEMS OF ROBERT NATHAN

There is a musical quality to this verse, selected by Robert Nathan from his own publications over several years. One feels that the verse is perhaps unimportant, it strikes no new note in form or substance, but -- and this to me is more important -- it has a well-sustained quality of graceful singing lyrics, rather lovely, sensitive, keyed to moods rather than profound thoughts.
