THE DINGLE WAR

Devin Ryan is an Irish whiz-kid who believes in enterprise, American style. By the time he's barely out of his teens he's a corporation President, communicating with Hitler, Henry Ford, Roosevelt among others. He's revolutionized the Irish milk' industry and it's all much to the dismay of the Dingle community who don't know how to handle this homebred hotshot. He redeems himself at the outset of the London blitz, however, when he transports an entire orphanage to the Kerry Coast. The Sisters are without funds, so Devin goes into international trade supplying both German and English submarines in a fine show of impartiality. But the Dingle War almost occurs when both sides hove to port at the same time. The author is a successful filmwriter who has made a wee misjudgment. . . this should have been the scenario it reads like. The Dingle War makes a dinky book.
