THE BEST FROM FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION

The eleventh in this annual series collects some top ranking names -- Davidson, Asimov, Anderson, Simak, Vonnegut, and adds some new ones -- Jay Williams, John Anthony West, John Berry, Charles G. Finney, among others. There is more of fiction, less of science here. While there's a machine that wins a war, there's also a vampire preying on a woman; there are psychiatrists, a man whose body slowly atrophies, a woman saving her planet, disease banished from the earth, etc., etc. Easily acceptable.
