THERE'S ALWAYS A PAYOFF

Ed Shields, commercial abalone diver, comes up with bigger fish when he is hired by Carter Welch to run him over to San Diego, and Welch, after a gunfight, goes over the side of his boat leaving behind a wallet with $25,000. Shields turns it over to his friend, the county sheriff, but is the target for the men- and women- in the dead man's life, his sister, his plant manager, Georgia, who is anybody's girl and everybody's guess, and a connection from Las Vegas. Fast action- so-so interest.
