KIRKUS REVIEW

Avanti with excitement and enthusiasm as Pete Reno is sent by the Vatican to a small hill town in Italy where apparently its good priest who'd been helping the poor with a large sum of money of unidentified origins is served cyanide at his Last Supper. And whose is the blood-spattered body in the church of a younger father? And what of some recently recycled ""unknown masterpieces""? All in all, a fatherly and godfatherly combo well ahead of the genre in conception and execution.
